Data Driven F1: Ferrari Azzurro (Playlist)

Red is often considered the quintessential Ferrari color, though some may argue it’s yellow. Blue, however, is not typically associated with the brand. Nonetheless, the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix saw the debut of an official Ferrari F1 car painted in blue, driven by French racer Raymond Sommer. In the 1970s, both Niki Lauda and Clay Regazzoni sported blue overalls. Perhaps most notably, under the official banner of the North American Racing Team (N.A.R.T.), Ferrari raced in white and blue during the 1964 US and Mexican Grand Prix events.

This rich heritage provides ample reason for Scuderia Ferrari to celebrate, particularly in conjunction with their new blue sponsor, HP, at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix. The team has already unveiled blue uniforms, sparking speculation about a temporary livery.

Let’s commemorate this special occasion with a unique event playlist, featuring data-driven F1 tracks inspired by N.A.R.T., Niki Lauda, Clay Regazzoni, and the 1964 season.
